How to request deletion
- Email support-raychat@drayentertainment.com with the subject RayChat account deletion request.
- Include the account display name and phone number with country code. Do not include a one-time passcode, password, private message, or other person's information.
- Follow the secure verification instructions sent by DRAY Entertainment. Verification protects accounts from fraudulent deletion requests.
- After verification, we will acknowledge the request, revoke active access, and send confirmation when deletion is complete.
The RayChat app is not required to submit or complete this request.
What will be deleted
The verified deletion process permanently removes the member's:
- RayChat account, phone number, display name, profile information, role, and account identifiers;
- device registrations, app/device details, session records, sign-in IP addresses, notification tokens, and optional approximate-location records;
- group memberships, reactions, and read-state records;
- authored messages, replies, uploaded photos, videos, PDFs, previews, thumbnails, file metadata, and related upload records; and
- other information that remains associated with the deleted account in active RayChat systems.
Deletion is permanent. The deleted account, messages, and media cannot be recovered for the member after the process completes. An administrator must create a new invitation if the person later returns to RayChat.
Timing and cancellation
Verified requests are completed within 30 days. Active devices, sessions, and push-notification registrations are revoked when processing begins.
A member may ask to cancel before permanent deletion begins. Once deletion has been completed, it cannot be reversed.
Limited temporary retention
DRAY Entertainment may retain de-identified security and audit records for up to 90 days to investigate abuse, verify that deletion occurred, and protect RayChat. These records will not retain the deleted member's phone number, display name, or an identifier that can reconnect the record to the deleted account.
Restricted recovery copies follow the backup rotation and are used only for disaster recovery. Deleted information is not used for ordinary processing and is not intentionally restored to the active service. Information may be retained longer only when required by law, and only for that legal purpose.
